1998 – This ‘One Pocket’ Trucker Jacket from Helmut Lang references the original Levis Type 1 trucker jacket. Helmut Lang was the first of the Europeans to push ‘denim’ to new heights. Both his trucker jackets and classic cut denim used patterns from Levis. But the materials and construction elevated them to new heights. Helmut would also utilize these patterns with materials other than denim, all following his minimalist aesthetic. This jacket was constructed in Italy and is made of 100% cotton. The fit is true, with a slim torso and arms with some room. Originally a ‘raw’ denim blue, this color has faded to perfection over that past 22 years.
